Cotton is a natural fibre valued for its breathability, softness and durability. Comfortable across a wide range of climates, it is one of the most widely used fibres in clothing and can be woven into fabrics ranging from crisp poplin to soft jersey.

Twill is a woven construction characterised by visible diagonal lines across the surface. The structure can range from fine and subtle to heavy and pronounced, depending on the yarns and weave. Denim, gabardine and drill are all examples of fabrics made with twill constructions, but their weight, surface and intended use differ considerably.
