Elastane is a synthetic fibre used to provide stretch and improve shape retention. At bycomposition, elastane is only included when used in non-structural components, such as lace, embroidery, decorative trims, and functional details like elasticated waistbands, cuffs and hems. It is not included as a defining material in the main fabric of a garment.
